CDT-UP PhD Student among 2021 Vice-Chancellor’s Social Impact Award winners

CDT-UP PhD student Charlie Barty- King was among the winners of the 2021 Vice-Chancellor’s Social Impact Awards. His achievements and commitment to positive social change impressed a panel of judges consisting of four stakeholders representing the community, the University of Cambridge and organisations dedicated to supporting student social action.

PhD Student Joe Eastwood was part of the winning team for the 2020 euspen Talent Programme, successfully designing an alignment platform for the 160,000 accelerating cylinders of a new 50km particle accelerator for CERN.
