Xiuyuan Yang graduated from the University of Manchester in 2014 and obtained his Master of Engineering degree with honours in Materials Science and Engineering. In the period of studying for MEng degree, he worked on the projects including lithium ion battery and stationary shoulder friction stir welding. Xiuyuan Yang worked at China CRRC for a year as an Assistant Engineer in Tangshan, China. For the sake of studying further and meeting challenges, Xiuyuan got into Cranfield University to study the Master of Research in Ultra-Precision Engineering programme in September 2017.
