Biography:

Mohammad received his BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He worked in various collaborative studies with different local companies as part of his degree requirements. He then moved to the UK and obtained a MSc in Manufacturing Systems and Management from University of Salford in 2013. He was involved in a project to design a temporary fastener for the Airbus A350XWB where his focus was to design an experiment to measure the surface stress around the fastening area. His dissertation project was in modelling and simulation of a mattress manufacturing company based on a six-month internship in which he worked as an improvement engineer.

After graduation, Mohammad worked for Ted Baker for four and a half years and was a manager in Selfridges London, before deciding to come back to academia and take part in the MRes in Ultra Precision Engineering. His aim is to build on his technical skills through the study of a PhD in the field of precision engineering and nanotechnology.
