Centre for Doctoral Training in Ultra Precision Engineering

Biography

Mohammad received his BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He moved to the UK and obtained a MSc in Manufacturing Systems and Management from University of Salford in 2013. He worked in a project to design a temporary fastener for the Airbus A350XWB where his main focus was to design an experiment to measure surface stress on the fastening area. His dissertation project was in modelling and simulation of a mattress manufacturing company based on a six-months internship in which he worked as an improvement engineer.

His passion of biomedical science and technology led him to take part in the MRes in Ultra Precision Engineering. His aim is to build on his technical skills through the study of a PhD in the field of biomaterial science and nanotechnology. He is now conducting a research on structural stability of micron size 3D printed hydrogels for the use in tissue engineering.
