Guicun studied a BEng degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology and from 2011 to 2015. During the MEng he took a project in Ti-Ni based shape memory alloy. Then he obtained an MSc in Material Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield, taking a research in beta titanium alloy. In September 2017, he joined the Precision Engineering MRes cohort at Cranfield University.
