Chris Williamson is a research associate within the Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction (CSIC). His current work is to develop a distributed low cost fibre optic analyser for the construction industry which is able to measure strain and temperature. Previously Chris was a PhD student in the Photonics and Sensors group funded by the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Ultra Precision at Cambridge University. He developed a roll-to-roll production line for flexible displays and also researched low voltage electron field emission from carbon nanotubes. Chris is also founder and CEO of Flexypix which is a start-up company aiming to commercialise the flexible displays which were developed during his PhD.
