Junguo Zhao graduated from Shanghai University with a Mechanical Engineering bachelor degree. She obtained her Master's degree from the University of Leicester with a major in Advanced Mechanical Engineering. In her final thesis, she focused on research on Sticking in Pharmaceutical Tablet Compaction, i.e. powder technology. During the following year, she conducted an extensive literature review on the topic of powder, metal alloy as well as surface energy. In 2017, she started a MRes in CDT of ultra-precision engineering in Cranfield University and she is pursuing further research towards a PhD. In individual project she works on surface texture metrology. In June 2018, she had poster presentation in euspen’s 18th international conference & exhibition. The work ‘Manufacturing uncertainty: How reproducible is the depth of cut during diamond turning of OFHC copper?’ has been published into conference proceeding. Her poster won the first price among 200 presented work in poster competition. She was also awarded a Student Scholarship by HEIDENHAIN at the conference.
