The initial goal is to design/develop an air bearing to replace the failing 3 inch bi-conic air bearing in the micro4 6 axis milling machine. With the aim of manufacturing locally. Once completed the goal will be to design an air bearing system to control the movement of the 150mm cylinder on the roll to roll machine in Cranfield.
