Biography

Clare did her PhD at the Centre for Advanced Photonics and Electronics at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Professor Bill Milne and Dr Matt Cole. She worked on field emission from carbon nanotubes for the use as X-ray sources which she began as part of the MRes Long Project.

Background

Clare joined theĀ MRes in Ultra Precision course in October 2013. Clare has an undergraduate degree, MSci in Physics, from King's College London, where she graduated in 2013 before coming to Cambridge. Her fourth year project took place at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the department of Nanometrology.
